Zach’s journey into roofing started working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor where he was brought in to help grow a roofing division and he then worked up to Managing QS level. He gained a degree in Commercial Management alongside an NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management - the foundations were then set.

In early 2020, Zach took the leap and built Axe Roofing from the ground up - self-funded, right at the start of COVID, navigating some of the toughest conditions the industry has seen.

His vision was simple: Create a business that does things differently. A place where people enjoy coming to work, where staff are recognised, and where clients and suppliers are treated as true partners.

Today, Axe Roofing has grown year on year, building a reputation that speaks for itself. Something Zach is proud of is having a team that cares, delivers, and never shies away from a challenge.

Looking ahead, the goal is to become a one-stop solution delivering everything from roofline upwards including regeneration projects.

Outside of work, you’ll find Zach spending time with his wife & children, on the golf course, playing padel, or taking part in his voluntary work - always keeping structure, routine, and a drive to improve at the centre of everything he does.
